This course has basic musical skill-level requirements and is applicable for seasoned performers as well as experienced beginners. This course is the third of five courses for Music Ministry Leadership Certificate and focuses on developing your musical and songwriting skills.

Based on the Practical Music Theory model, students will explore more advanced techniques in songwriting, music theory, congregational praise. The student will learn how to write new songs, direct a full band, play solos, write harmonies, and more.

The prerequisites for this course are either CE119 Music Theory Essentials, a college course on music, or that the student understands and can define the basics of the following: The Major Scale, Nashville Numbers, Melodies, Song Dynamics, and matching lyrics with music theory.
